Many people are familiar with the story of the Mayflower ship that in 1620 set sail from England, but few really know where the journey began. Today, an estimated 35 million people could be descended from just 102 passengers, better known as the Pilgrims and remembered at Thanksgiving.
Years before their final departure from England to set up a new colony, a group sought sanctuary in Scrooby Manor – Nottinghamshire. The Manor was once grand enough to be described as a Palace and hosted Royalty. All that remains now is a family farmhouse. Current owner, Julie Dunstan, seeks out historian, Sue Allan, to help her investigate the secrets of her home. What they reveal rewrites history.
